As
many of you already know, "Rueda At The Beach" World Tour is all
about the location, a place which you would enjoy getting to know even on your
own private vacation.
In this case it was a very hard pick because there are so many things to do and
places to see, that I thought, who's going to want to be dancing all day
instead of wondering around and enjoying so many other things too.
So if you enjoy walking around... miles of sandy beaches surrounded by pine forests both
around quiet bay waters as also next to the Atlantic ocean, amazing bicycle
rides, surfing, wake boarding, sailing, beach horse rides into the sunset,
kayak and canoe adventures, bird watching, jet skiing, parachuting, dune
surfing and skiing, shopping, gambling at the Casino, eating at fine
restaurants or paragliding from the highest dune in Europe; please, please,
take a few more days off!!
This Program will
be completed and updated as we get closer to the date:
Friday
Noon: Lunch by the Port
Afternoon: Rueda and dancing at "Plage
d'Eyrac"
Evening: Dinner with salsa dancing in front of
"Plage d ‘Arcachon"
Saturday
Morning: Rueda and
dancing at "Plage d'Eyrac"
Afternoon: Highest European Rueda At The Beach and
dancing on "Dune Du Pilat" followed by bizcochitos con
mate or your favourite drinks to lay back on the highest Dune, and enjoy one of
the greatest sunsets into the Atlantic ocean.).
Sunday
Noon: Boat ride to
"Cap Ferret" for lunch and Rueda and dancing in front of the Atlantic
Ocean, or if it rains, dancing by the port.
Evening: Back to Arcachon with several options.
WE HAVE A COUPLE OF OUTDOOR PLACES WITH ROOFS IN THE EVENT OF VERY BAD LUCK WITH THE WEATHER.

ROAD TRIP
The
cheapest option is a longer but maybe more enjoyable road trip.
If
you have the time and don't need to rush straight there, there are many
possible places to visit on the way like maybe spend a night in Paris or any of
the other smaller towns along the way.
CHEAPEST CHANNEL
CROSSING:
£12.50 each way (for 1 car and 5 people in it)

FUEL COST FROM LONDON: medium car £160 (could be less if it's a small car)
That's calculated on a total round trip of 1320
miles.
It takes about 8.30 hours to drive 562 miles from
Calais to Arcachon.
TIME OF TRAVEL FROM LONDON: 12 hrs.
TOTAL COST PER PERSON BASED ON 4 SHARING:
£46
If you want to rent a car in London
for 7 days with unlimited mileage and insurance, is £120. So based on 4 sharing
the total cost would go up to £86 per person for the whole trip.
RAIL RIDE
If
you don't have that much time or don't feel like driving a lot, taking the
train is possibly the best option, you get to keep your deodorants, no weight
limit on luggage (you can take 2 large suitcases and 2 hand luggage free of
charge), and maybe play some table games on the way.
It takes Eurostar 6.50hrs from central London to Bordeaux
from £109 round trip (including the time it takes you to change train in Paris
by taking the tube to another station).
Then, you change trains at Bordeaux (waiting time
at Bordeaux is about 10 minutes), another( Euro$20.20 round trip) 45 minutes to
Arcachon.
TIME OF TRAVEL FROM LONDON: 7.45 hrs.
TOTAL COST PER PERSON: £128
AIR RIDE
Easy Jet to Bordeaux round trip from £39
including taxes with just 1 hand luggage.
AT BORDEAUX airport you can either rent a car
(about £120 for 3 days with unlimited mileage, which will be useful to have to
go places and save the occasional taxi fare) and drive 40 minutes (35 miles) to
Arcachon, or take a transfer bus (Euro $7) to the train station (45 minutes)
and then take the train to Arcachon (Euro $ 10.10) another 45 minutes to your
destination.
TOTAL COST PLANE AND TRAIN: £72
TOTAL COST PLANE WITH CAR RENTAL BASED ON 4
SHARING: £69
TRAVEL TIME: From 6 hours (1 to get
to the airport, 2 hours before the flight, 1.30 flight time, 30 minutes to get
to the car and 60 minutes to get to your hotel.)
ACCOMODATION:
Prices go from €36 per double room per night (good for 2 people) and €4 for
a pitch in a camping
site (good for 3 people).
Based on the best prices, location and quality combined, our first hotel pick is Aquamarina at €50 per night double room
If you have a car to move around, our first pick is Hotel Yatt from €48 with a shower or €53 with a great bathtub for a double room
Or a cheaper option 1 mile away from the train station is Hotel Arcachon Marines at €40 per double room.

own transportation and accommodation.
